BAK Battery's New Tabless 18650/21700 Line | Powering the Future at CIHF 2025

BAK Battery unveiled its new ultra-high-power tabless cylindrical battery series (18650 30D and 21700D ) at the 38th China  International Hardware Fair, offering enhanced performance for cleaner energy solutions.

At the exhibition, BAK Battery showcased its full range of tabless small cylindrical batteries, including the newly launched tabless 18650-30D and the tabless 2170 D series. With this extensive product lineup, BAK Battery is leading the way in ushering in the "Tabless Era" for cylindrical batteries.

BAK's tabless small cylindrical batteries set new performance standards by incorporating multi-dimensional innovations in both structural design and material systems. Compared to traditional designs, these batteries achieve a reduction in internal resistance by over 60%, a 100% increase in discharge capacity, and a 30% extension in discharge duration under high-power conditions. This ensures reliable and high-performance output, even in the most demanding power tool applications. Additionally, charging speed is enhanced by 200%, drastically cutting down charging times, while cycle life is extended by 140%, significantly boosting the overall performance and longevity of power tools.

The 18650 battery is widely used, especially in power tools, due to its versatility and performance. With increasingly complex operational demands, BAK Battery’s new Tabless 18650-30D Battery stands out by offering six key features that significantly enhance its performance: high safety, high power, long endurance, long cycle life, fast charging, and a wide temperature range. These advancements set a new standard for battery performance, improving the end-user experience and outperforming traditional battery designs.

Key Features of the BAK Tabless 18650-30D Battery:

Low Internal Resistance: With internal resistance under 5mΩ, this battery offers 60% less resistance than conventional designs, ensuring better efficiency and power delivery.

Enhanced Discharge Capability: The battery supports continuous discharge up to 60A and can handle a maximum pulse discharge of 120A for 10 seconds, making it suitable for demanding tasks in power tools.

Increased Capacity & Energy Density: With a capacity of 3.0Ah and an energy density of up to 250Wh/kg, the 18650-30D supports continuous discharge of 30A, resulting in a 30% longer runtime compared to traditional designs.

Extended Cycle Life: The battery is rated for 600 cycles, which is double its previous cycle life, ensuring long-lasting performance even with frequent use.

Fast Charging: The 18650-30D can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 9 minutes, a 200% improvement over conventional charging speeds, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing work efficiency.

Wide Temperature Range: The battery operates reliably in extreme temperatures, supporting discharge between -40°C to 80°C, making it adaptable for various environments and applications.

Since beginning its development of tabless technology in 2019, BAK has made significant strides. In 2021, BAK introduced the tabless 4680 large cylindrical battery, followed by the tabless 2170 D-series small cylindrical battery in 2024. With the launch of the tabless 18650 D-series, BAK has now built a comprehensive product portfolio that spans the 18-series, 21-series, and 46-series of tabless batteries.
