BYD Energy Storage Unveils New Battery-Box HVE & Power-Box Inverters for Residential Solutions

Shenzhen/Rimini, March 18, 2025 – BYD Energy Storage, a division of BYD Co. Ltd. specializing in integrated renewable energy solutions, is launching the new BYD Battery-Box HVE residential energy storage system. This advanced product joins the popular, award-winning Battery-Box family. The Battery-Box HVE is paired with either the single-phase hybrid inverter Power-Box SH3/3.7/4.6/5/6K or the three-phase hybrid inverter Power-Box TH5/6/8/10/12/15K by BYD, marking the company’s first integrated residential energy storage system.

BYD Battery-Box HVE: Advanced Residential Energy Storage

The Battery-Box HVE brings numerous new features to the Battery-Box family and will soon be available across European markets. This system includes two modular options:

· HVE4.2 module: 4.29 kWh, 76.8 V, 345 x 660 x 140 mm, 42.1 kg

· HVE6.4 module: 6.45 kWh, 115.2 V, 499 x 660 x 140 mm, 61.1 kg

The modular design allows for a flexible configuration, where 4.2kWh and 6.4kWh modules can be combined in a single tower. The smallest system configuration starts at 6.4kWh, while the largest single-tower system can reach up to 23.6kWh. By connecting three towers in parallel, the system can scale up to a maximum of 70.92kWh.

With a slim 140mm depth, the Battery-Box HVE is the most compact model in the Battery-Box lineup, suitable for both floor and wall installations. The system integrates seamlessly with BYD inverters and the BYD app, offering real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Additionally, the Battery-Box HVE features plug-and-play installation, security enhancements, and a reliable 15-year warranty, cementing its position as one of the most trusted residential energy storage solutions globally with over 1.1 million systems installed.

BYD Power-Box Inverters: Enhancing Efficiency & Backup Power

The Battery-Box HVE is paired with two newly launched BYD Power-Box inverters:

· Power-Box SH3/3.7/4.6/5/6K (single-phase): This inverter supports a 35A battery charging and discharging current, providing a 200% peak output power, seamless grid switching, and 97.7% maximum efficiency.

· Power-Box TH5/6/8/10/12/15K (three-phase): Suitable for high-power PV modules, it offers 98.2% efficiency and a 150% peak output power with a backup switch time of less than 10 ms. It also features IP66 protection for durability.

Both inverters provide 24/7 online monitoring, smart remote diagnostics, and OTA firmware updates, ensuring maximum reliability and performance.

Meeting Growing Customer Demand for Complete Energy Solutions

“We’ve seen an increased demand for complete energy solutions. The introduction of the Battery-Box HVE alongside the Power-Box inverters responds directly to this demand, offering a comprehensive system for residential storage,” said Jiang Feng, Residential Energy Storage System Director at BYD Energy Storage.

Existing Battery-Box solutions, such as the HV Premium and LV Premium, will continue to be available in combination with inverters from trusted partners, providing customers with even greater flexibility in their choices.

Availability & Launch

The BYD Battery-Box HVE energy storage system and Power-Box inverters will be available across the European market starting June 2025. Additionally, another new product for the European market will be introduced in Q2 2025.
