At the event, BYD Commercial Blade Battery took centre stage, unveiling its ultra-fast charging pure electric heavy-duty truck and 2C ultra-fast charging battery solution, marking a significant stride in the electrification of long-haul logistics.

Long-haul logistics, the backbone of the national economy, facilitates over 90% of cross-regional cargo movement. Yet, the sector has long grappled with high energy consumption, high emissions, and high operational costs. For logistics companies, the limited range and prolonged charging times of electric heavy-duty trucks remain major pain points.

BYD FinDream Battery’s solution integrates a 500kWh ultra-fast charging battery with megawatt-level charging infrastructure, achieving a breakthrough: 18-minute charging for 350 km of range—enough to cover half a day’s haul with just a short break.

Proven Performance: From Concept to Commercialisation

The 500kWh ultra-fast charging battery showcased is not a prototype but a mass-produced solution, with thousands already deployed. Since its launch last year, trucks equipped with these batteries have been operating reliably in key logistics corridors, including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, demonstrating real-world viability.

Building an Ecosystem: Collaboration for Scalability

Electrifying long-haul logistics requires a coordinated approach. BYD FinDream Battery has ramped up production, with annual capacity expected to exceed 10,000 units. The company is also partnering with leading charging operators to establish a nationwide ultra-fast charging network at logistics hubs, while collaborating with OEMs to develop compatible vehicle models.
