CALB Breaks Ground on Zero-Carbon AI Gigafactory in Portugal, Set for 2027 Completion

On February 24, 2025, local time, CALB (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) officially commenced the construction of its state-of-the-art zero-carbon AI gigafactory in Portugal, marking a significant milestone for the company’s expansion in the global electric vehicle (EV) battery and energy storage markets.
