REPT, in collaboration with Indonesia's Bakrie & Brothers Group, has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum aimed at promoting green energy in Indonesia. The goal of this partnership is to deliver over 3,000 electric buses and trucks equipped with advanced power batteries by 2025. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures including the Indonesian Minister of Land Transport, the Customs Department, local government representatives, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce.

Manufacturing Base and Localization Efforts

Once completed, the REPT Indonesian manufacturing base (PT REPT BATTERO INDONESIA) will produce power battery systems that adhere to Indonesia's local content requirements (TKDN). This localized production will empower commercial vehicle customers under the vision of "Indonesian Born, Global Contribution" and assist Indonesia in achieving its net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2060 or sooner.

Partnership with PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk

Bakrie & Brothers Group's PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR) is Indonesia's first commercial vehicle manufacturing plant, specializing in electric buses and light to heavy-duty trucks. This factory will benefit from REPT's advanced battery systems to drive the production and sale of electric commercial vehicles. VKTR will focus on creating low-carbon demonstration projects such as green buses and green mining transport.

Strategic Industrial Cooperation

Both REPT and VKTR will deepen strategic cooperation in the industrial chain, which includes nickel product smelting, battery raw materials, power cells and systems, and integrated vehicle charging solutions. REPT will provide advanced battery systems that meet Indonesia’s local manufacturing requirements, while VKTR will handle the production, sales, and promotion of electric commercial vehicles.

REPT’s Commercial Vehicle Power Battery Solutions

REPT has launched its latest commercial vehicle power battery solutions, including the Sui Xing 324Ah Pro version cell and the S-box battery cluster. These batteries are designed to meet various commercial vehicle application scenarios:

· The Sui Xing 324Ah Pro version cell has an energy density of 198Wh/kg, a cycle life exceeding 10,000 cycles, zero degradation in the first 800 cycles, and a service life of over 13 years.

· The S-box battery cluster has an energy density of 145Wh/kg and supports an 8-year and 2-million-kilometer lifespan for the entire vehicle.

These battery solutions offer versatility across different commercial transport needs, including short, medium, and long-distance transportation, reducing operational costs and enhancing the capabilities of electric heavy trucks.

Global Market Expansion

While REPT’s advanced batteries are designed for the domestic market, they are also positioned to cater to global markets. By collaborating with Bakrie & Brothers, REPT is reinforcing its presence in Indonesia’s burgeoning new energy industry. This partnership signifies REPT's deeper integration into the local industry, which will help meet Indonesia's growing demand for electric transportation.

Supporting Infrastructure and Nickel Resource Security

REPT’s parent company, Qing Shan Group, owns nickel mining resources in Indonesia, ensuring a stable supply of raw materials for REPT's localized production. This resource security strengthens the company's ability to support the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia and beyond.

The "China Battery Technology + Resource Binding" Model

The partnership between REPT and Bakrie & Brothers embodies a new model for Chinese battery companies expanding into emerging overseas markets. By leveraging "Chinese battery technology + resource binding + localized production + regional market penetration," REPT sets a precedent for global market expansion, making it a key player in the lithium battery industry’s global restructuring.

Conclusion

REPT’s collaboration with Bakrie & Brothers Group and its ongoing investment in Indonesia's electric vehicle industry represents a significant step toward green transportation and a sustainable future. The partnership will not only contribute to Indonesia’s electrification of transportation but also pave the way for REPT to strengthen its position in global markets, providing high-quality, long-life, and adaptable power solutions for commercial vehicles.
